Maximo Musketeers: Our Cohesive team prepping for the MaximoWorld recap webinar.
Maximo Musketeers: Our Cohesive team prepping for the MaximoWorld recap webinar.

Missed MaximoWorld? You can catch up on the key themes, emerging trends and practical applications from this year’s event at our recap webinar.

Held in conjunction with ReliabilityWeb, it will feature Cohesive’s Damien DeGouvia, Patrick Conaty and Kevin Sutherland (pictured above).

They will tell us what customers attending the Arizona mega-event shared about their challenges and experiences with the platform, detail what we learnt about the latest, powerful functionalities available in the Application Suite (including a GEN AI assistant)  and run through what IBM told us about the Maximo roadmap.

Maximo at 40 – the asset lifecycle management master

More than 900 professionals from across sectors including transport, energy and manufacturing joined the event. They included executives who are turning Maximo data into boardroom results and technicians who keep assets running and work order maintenance flowing. An annual event, this year’s was special – marking the year that Maximo turned 40 and further cemented its leadership in the asset lifecycle management market.

Reflecting on this year’s event, I can honestly say it’s never been a more exciting time to be part of the EAM and asset management community. As someone who has focused on driving true asset management outcomes (not just maintenance), I found the spotlight on Maximo 9.1 and its roadmap particularly exciting.

Taking the win: Stena Drilling and Cohesive won a MaximoWorld '25 award for their successful upgrade to the Maximo Application Suite.

Mega-success with MAS

During the webinar, our team will also reference the inspiring stories of our clients who joined us on stage at MaximoWorld to share their experiences, learnings and the impact that the Application Suite has generated for them.

These include Stena Drilling, the leading independent drilling contractor which is continually working to enhance management of its fleet of five ultra-deep water drill ships and one semi-submersible drilling rig.

In collaboration, we overcame multiple challenges to ensure a smooth, on-time implementation of MAS and upgrade from Maximo 7.6.1.3, with no disruptions to operations. It is believed to mark the first time that MAS has been used in a disconnected state in a marine environment.

Stena Drilling and Cohesive received a MaximoWorld award in the ‘best connected workforce’ category at the event in recognition of the best-in-class approach.

Cohesive also delivered standout sessions featuring business leaders from ONEOK and Cooperative Energy.

Whether it was advanced OpenShift deployments, navigating disconnected MAS environments, or real-world upgrade strategies, Cohesive delivered practical, forward-thinking expertise.

But our upcoming webinar isn’t just about showcasing Cohesive’s client work – it’s about sharing what really stood out at MaximoWorld this year.

For me, the biggest takeaway was seeing AI finally delivering real, practical benefits in asset management. From using natural language tools, to making systems easier to work with, to automating reliability analysis and monitoring asset health in real time, these advances are changing how we understand risk and make investment decisions.

The message is clear: asset management has moved far beyond just fixing things when they break, and those who embrace these tools will see stronger performance, less downtime, and better use of their resources.
